An essential in Chinese cooking, it’s great in marinades, drizzled on simple steamed vegetables.
Substitute: Use 1 tbsp GF soy sauce or tamari, 1/2 tbsp brown sugar or maple syrup, and 1 tbsp fish sauce per tbsp of oyster sauce
